28-year-old man assaulted his 92-year-old girlfriend, according to police

MEMPHIS — A 28-year-old man faces charges after police said he assaulted his 92-year-old girlfriend.

WREG reported that Thomas Standley allegedly assaulted Willie Frances Robinson, choking her, grabbing her by the arm and shaking her.

The suspect was mad at the victim because she wouldn’t take her medication, according to reports. The two reportedly live together in a home.

The victim’s daughter lives next door and heard her screaming. She reportedly called police.

The elderly victim later told police that the suspect abuses her all the time. She said she was afraid the call police.

Police refer to the suspect as the victim’s boyfriend in the charging affidavit, but the victim’s daughter said the two are not dating.

Stanley has been charged with domestic assault and assault and has court planned this week.
