VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — At least 30 people were injured after a Metrolink train struck a vehicle in California early Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m. near East 5th Street and South Rice Avenue (map) in Oxnard, an official with the Ventura County Fire Department said.
The official said fatalities had been found inside the truck that was struck.
Oxnard police Sgt. Denise Shadinger later said the department did not know of any fatalities, but confirmed at least 30 were injured.
