LOWELL, N.C. — Police have identified a teen in connection to the sexual assault on a 6-year-old boy that happened in the bathroom of a Regal Cinema in Lowell.
It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday. Police said the attacker was at the theater to see “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.” He was wearing white sneakers, black pants and a blue hoodie with a Superman symbol on the chest.
No arrests have been made so far and police said the investigation is ongoing.
Lowell police will meet with the Gaston County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.
