All lanes of I-40 East now open after wreck at Sandy Ridge Road in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A three-car wreck has closed all but one lane on Interstate 40 east in Greensboro, the News & Record reported.

The wreck is near Sandy Ridge Road, which is exit 208, according to Greensboro police.

The wreck happened about 9:05 a.m. and involves two sedans and a pickup truck, police said. The pickup truck overturned.

At least one person is injured, according to police.

It’s not clear when the other lanes of the interstate will re-open.
