Chinqua Penn Plantation sold for $1.35 million

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Chinqua Penn Plantation sold Monday for $1.35 million.

Legends International Incorporated bought the property, according to Jason Cox, of the Compass Group who served as its realtor.

Little is known about the company.

The 27-room mansion was built on 23-acres of land in the 1920s by tobacco heirs Jeff and Betsy Penn, who filled it with artifacts from around the world.
