WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are looking for a woman who was forcibly put into a vehicle at Gilmer Avenue and 13th Street and driven away this morning from the area, authorities said.

A witness told officers that a man put a woman in a bear hug shortly before 10:30 a.m. and walked her to small, black four-door vehicle, police said. The woman shouted several times, “I don’t want to go,” as she was forced into the backseat of the vehicle.

The witness reported that the vehicle was driven by a second man, police said. The woman was wearing a gray shirt and khaki pants.

Officers checked the area in the city’s northwestern section near downtown and local hospitals, but they couldn’t find the victim, police said. A suspect was described as black man in his 20s wearing a black baseball cap, a black shirt and white pants, police said.
