KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- This Valentine's Day Eve is a night some local families won't long forget. It's the night of "Night to Shine," a prom for people with special needs.

It's at First Christian Church of Kernersville and is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Some 200 volunteers have been busy for days turning the church's worship center into a glitzy ballroom. When the special needs' guests arrive in limos, it will be like a glitzy red carpet affair.

At Regina Englishman's home on Oak Ridge Road, she turned her kitchen into a dressing room for a group of seven or eight ladies to get their hair and makeup done. Her daughter Carlin is special needs and twirled around in her bright pink prom dress with silver trim, saying she can't wait to dance.

"We're just so excited that this is happening. The girls are beautiful and this means so much to them,” said Englishman.
