BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police have arrested a third suspect in connection to the robbery at El Gallo Giro in Burlington.

Khalid Devontae Gwynn, 17, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators believe Gwynn was the third suspect in the robbery that happened Jan. 26 just after 6 p.m.

Two customers were approached by three men — two were armed with handguns — as they were walking to their car.

The suspects took one victim’s wallet and fled the area on foot.

Police traced the suspects back to an area near the Petersburg Apartments, and after a short foot pursuit two of the suspects were taken into custody.

Christopher James Carter, 22, and Devonte Jamal Headen, 17, were charged with armed robbery and resisting arrest.

Gwynn was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
