Greensboro police arrest two men in Friday morning robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police arrested two men in connection with a robbery that happened early Friday morning in Greensboro.

Duprai Leshawn Johnson, 21, of 1617 Twain Road, and Michael Dale Phillips Jr., 21, of 3816 Heath St., both of Greensboro face multiple charges.

Officers responded at 12:35 a.m. to the 900 block of Lowdermilk Street, where a victim was outside the apartment complex. Two men armed with handguns approached, demanded money and  the ran from the scene, officials said.

Officers found Johnson and Phillips nearby and the victim identified them.

Both men face charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping, the release states.

They remain in the Guilford County jail. A magistrate set bail for Johnson at $40,000. Bail for Phillips is $75,000.
