Reward in Guilford County homicide case increased

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is increasing the reward for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of the individuals responsible for the murder of Vann Yates in January.

The contributions from family and friends have increased the reward to $15,000.

Yates was killed at his home on E. Fairfield Road in High Point on Jan. 21.

A witness described the suspects as two young black males, one with a notable scar or mark under his right eye.

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office released a composite sketch of the suspects.
