Police respond to reported shooting in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Dozens of Winston-Salem police officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the Cleveland Avenue Homes area Wednesday night.

The incident was reported about 10 p.m.

Officers remained in the area until early Thursday morning and blocked off several blocks on 15th Street, between 17th Street and Woodland Avenue.

Police officials are expected to give a briefing sometime this morning.
