Crews respond to apartment fire in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Greensboro on Thursday evening.

The fire was reported at 1008 Rucker St. at 7:11 p.m.

The fire started inside one of the apartments. According to Assistant Chief Bryant Staples, the apartment was heavily damaged.

Staples said the roof of the building was also damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
