JAMESTOWN, N.C. – Multiple agencies responded to an early morning house fire on Pearce Drive that left a family homeless.

Captain Brandon Cobb with Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire Department said that the family of four were at home at the time of the fire, but were able to make it out safely.

It took firefighters from the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire Department, High Point Fire Department, and Greensboro Fire Department an hour and a half to get the fire under control, said Cobb.

Captain Cobb said that the home appeared to be a total loss.

The fire appeared to have started at the rear of the house, but the cause is unknown at this time, Cobb said.

The fire is being investigated by the Guilford County Fire Marshall.
