WILKESBORO, N.C. — Dwight Yoakam, Steep Canyon Rangers and Shannon Whitworth will be part of the MerleFest lineup, officials announced Monday. The Americana music festival is set for April 23-26 in Wilkesboro, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Country artist Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide. He has 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums. Yoakam’s latest album, “3 Pears,” blends country with rock, Americana, pop and soul.

Bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers have toured with Steve Martin and won a Grammy in 2013 for Best Bluegrass Album. The band is known for its enthralling live shows.

Whitworth is a singer and banjo player. Her latest album, “High Tide,” incorporates Americana, jazz and indie rock.
