2 arrested with multiple felony meth related charges in Yadkinville

YADKINVILLE, N.C. — Police arrested two people in Yadkinville in connection to selling, distributing and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Jason Southard, 52, and Sheila Southard, 49, were arrested after police conducted a search of their home on the 3300 block of Plum Lane and found multiple items used to make meth, including a one pot lab.

Police began an investigating of the two after a resident of the home sought medical treatment at a nearby hospital recently.

The Southard’s were both charged with one count each of felony manufacturing methamphetamine,  possession of precursor chemicals, maintaining a drug dwelling and conspiracy.

Jason Southard is being held under a $500,000 secure bond in the Yadkin County Detention Center.

Sheila Southard is being held in the Yadkin County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.

Their court date is set for Feb. 4.

The investigation is ongoing.
