SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco Zoo has a special gift for the broken-hearted this Valentine's Day.

Giant scorpions and hissing cockroaches are up for adoption and the zoo wants people to name them after their exes.

"Nothing says, 'I've moved on,' like adopting a giant cuddly cockroach in the name of your favorite ex," according to the zoo's website.

The zoo is asking for $25 for naming rights to support research and conservation efforts.

For people who buy the scorpion and are recovering from the "sting" of break up, the zoo is also offering to send a notification to the heart breaker.

"We can't make any promises, but urban legend says that the gift of a scorpion adoption serves as permanent protection against future romantic stings. Let the healing begin," the zoo's donation page said.
