GREENSBORO, N.C. — A High Point man pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of forced labor earlier this month in connection with forcing women to perform sex acts.

Joseph Drayton, 56, of 1221 Cedrow Drive is also known as “Malcolm” and “Malcom” according to federal documents. A federal grand jury indicted him on three charges in October:

  • Sex trafficking by coercion and threatening harm to his victim.
  • Labor by force threatening force, or to cause the victim to believe if they didn’t perform they would be seriously harmed.
  • Interstate and foreign travel in aid of racketeering enterprises. This used the Internet to further his extortion and bribery in violation of North Carolina law (prostitution) and to promote illegal activity.
