CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A restaurant in the Piedmont has been named one of the top 10 restaurants in the country and five others from North Carolina made the top 100.

OpenTable announced the 2014 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Best Restaurants in America late last year and the Fearrington House in Pittsboro made the top 10.

The awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

In addition to Fearrington House, five other North Carolina restaurants made the top 100, tying Pennsylvania with a total of six.

They include Bida Manda Restaurant and Bar, Saint Jacques French Cuisine, and Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern, all in Raleigh; Herons in Cary; and The Copper Door in Hayesville.
