Delta flight to NC evacuated after bomb threat made on Twitter

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Airport officials say a Delta flight from Atlanta to Raleigh-Durham International Airport was evacuated after landing Saturday afternoon due to a bomb threat made on Twitter.

Airport spokesperson Mindy Hamlin told WTVD that RDU officials became aware of the message around 12:30 p.m.

Flight 1803 left Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport around 11:30 a.m. and landed shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Officials evacuated passengers as part of the investigation, while law enforcement and dogs patrolled the scene.
