Scott Daniel Miller, 38 of Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Guilford County Schools employee did not meet the child he is accused of having sexual relations with through work, Greensboro police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said.

The Greensboro News & Record reported that Scott Daniel Miller, 38, of Greensboro, resigned from the school district on Friday, about the same time police arrested him, according to GCS Chief of Staff Nora Carr.

Carr said Miller is a speech pathologist who worked at Kirkman Park and Pilot elementary schools. Miller is accused of having sexual relations with a person under the age of 16 on at least two occasions last year.

He faces two counts each of crimes against nature, statutory sex offense, indecent liberties with a child and statutory rape.
