IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A California man has been arrested after more than 30 pounds of marijuana was found packed in sealed cans in different storage units across North Carolina.

The Independent Tribune reported that Takaaki Ishibashi, 25, is accused of shipping the marijuana from Los Angeles to North Carolina.

Officials said the marijuana was found in storage units in Iredell, Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties this week.

The paper reported that the first package had seven pounds of marijuana and was intended for a storage unit in Mooresville.

That led officers to find marijuana in storage units in Pineville, Cornelius, Huntersville, Kannapolis and Concord, according to the paper.
