GREENSBORO, N.C. — U.S. Marshals and the Greensboro Police Department arrested a Florida man who was wanted on multiple counts of possessing and viewing child pornography.

After several interviews and surveillance, authorities arrested Clas Christian Nyback, 49, at the Motel 6 located at 605 S. Regional Road.

Nyback was was placed under court ordered house arrest with an ankle monitor in Palm Beach, Florida until his sentencing hearing Jan. 9.

On Jan. 8 the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office requested the help of the U.S. Marshals Service in locating Nyback after receiving a tamper alert from his ankle monitor.

Initially, Nyback provided officers with a false name, but was recognized by the U.S. Marshals  through photos. He later admitted his identity to the officers and is currently pending extradition to Florida to face charges related to child pornography.
