UNCG grad gets golden ticket to Hollywood on ‘American Idol’

A University of North Carolina at Greensboro graduate is going to Hollywood after getting three “yeses” and a golden ticket on “American Idol.”

Karla Davis recently got a golden ticket on the hit Fox show, although the audition wasn’t shown on air.

Davis graduated from UNCG and played soccer there. She’s from Monroe in Union County and also made it to final 16 on “The Voice” season 2.

The 14th season of “American Idol” started earlier this month. It airs on Fox.
