GASTONIA, N.C. — A Gaston County restaurant owner’s wife turned herself in Thursday after failing to appear in court on Monday.

Regina Lavecchia, 44, of Charlotte is facing seven felony drug charges following her arrest Friday.

Arrest warrants stated Lavecchia packaged, sold and distributed cocaine to an informant in May 2014.

Sources told Channel 9 Eyewitness News reporter Ken Lemon the activity happened near Nick’s Steak and Seafood, which is owned by the woman’s husband, as well as in close proximity to a preschool.
