An unnamed couple in the Great Lakes region is making news over the extremely unusual nature of their relationship.

According to Newser, an 18-year-old woman who had not seen her father since she was 5 years old reunited with him 12 years later and found herself “instantly attracted to him.”

The daughter tells the magazine they have been dating for nearly two years — since she lost her virginity to him just days after reuniting with him — and that they plan to marry.

Her father reportedly conceived her on prom night when he was 18-years-old. The daughter says they have plans to have a large family and she is not worried about her kids having genetic problems because “that happens when there’s years of inbreeding, like with the royal family.”

She went on to tell Newser that “incest has been around as long as humans have” and “everybody just needs to deal with it.”

The daughter says she and her father plan to move to New Jersey, where she says adult incest is legal.
