ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A heavy metal band that splashed pig’s blood on stage during a North Carolina concert last year is playing another show in the state.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported that Charlotte-based band “Young And In The Way” is scheduled to play a concert Saturday in Asheville.

The metal band sprayed pig’s blood on stage during a concert last summer at a different venue in Asheville, splashing fans.

The Lexington Avenue Brewery shut down for a few days in late June to clean up the mess.

Buncombe health officials have confirmed it was pig’s blood. County experts said they didn’t believe the pig’s blood posed a health threat to fans that were splashed with it.

The concert Saturday takes place at 9:30 p.m. at the Mothlight in Asheville. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
