Family of 6 hospitalized after Concord house fire

CONCORD, N.C. —Two adults and four children were taken to the hospital after their home in Concord caught fire late Monday night.

Firefighters said a man suffered serious burns and a woman and children suffered from minor smoke inhalation.
The fire started just before 10 p.m. on Powder Street SW. Fire crews said when they arrived they could see heavy smoke coming from the house.

Nearly two dozen firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in about seven minutes.

The cause is still under investigation.
