Danville, Va. woman accused of malicious wounding

DANVILLE, Va. — Two people were stabbed Saturday night and another woman is in jail in connection with an incident, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

At 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Walker Street in reference to a reported assault. Upon arrival, they received information that someone had been stabbed, the release states.

Meanwhile, two individuals with stab wounds arrived at Danville Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle. The wounds suffered from the man and woman, both 19, were not considered life-threatening, the release states.

Police determined Jasmine Cardwell, 18, of Danville, had assaulted the man. She was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, according to the release.

Cardwell was  being held at the Danville City Jail without bail. Police are still investigating the incident.
