NC woman arrested on drug and child abuse charges

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — A woman was arrested Monday on drug and child abuse charges.

Deann Wolfe, 28, of 702 Applewood St., was arrested after an undercover investigation conducted by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sept. 12, an undercover officer purchased 1 gram of heroin from Wolfe. Then on Sept. 17 the sheriff’s office purchased 20 hydrocodone tablets from her.

Wolfe had two small children with her during the second purchase.

She was charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking and a count of child abuse.

Her bond is set at $250,000.
