REIDSVILLE, N.C. — A Reidsville man was shot and ultimately died from his injuries outside a convenience store Saturday night.

Danny Lamont Brim, 40, of Reidsville, was shot about 9:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the One Stop Grocery at 408 Vance Street, said Capt. Brian Oakley with Reidsville police.

Brim was taken to Moses Cone Hospital, where he died that evening.

He did not have a firearm with him at the time of the shooting, Oakley said.

The shooting was not random, according to police.

The suspect fled the parking lot in a vehicle. Warrants have been issued for the shooter, Oakley said, though that person’s name was not immediately released.

REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday night.

A man was shot and killed outside a convenience store in the 400 block of Vance Street, said Chief Robert Hassell with the Reidsville Police Department.

The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

The name of the adult male is not yet being publicly released, Hassell said.

Police are still searching for the shooter.
