CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An elderly woman is recovering after police said she was physically assaulted in a home invasion in west Charlotte Sunday.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy for his involvement in the case, according to a CMPD news release sent on Monday.

Investigators said unknown men wearing masks entered the 72-year-old woman’s home through a back door, physically assaulted her and then stole her 2005 Nissan Altima.
