Woman injured after car overturns in Winston-Salem parking lot

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Authorities said a woman was injured Sunday afternoon when her car overturned in the parking lot of the Pavilions Shopping Center off Hanes Mall Boulevard, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. when a female driver hit a light pole in the parking lot and overturned her vehicle, said Battalion Chief Derron Southern of the Winston-Salem Fire Department. Southern said the woman was injured and taken to a local hospital.

Several Winston-Salem police officers responded to the crash, according to Southern. No further details were available.
