Police warn parents of two men approaching children in NC town

WAKE FOREST, N.C. – Police in Wake Forest are warning parents to be on the lookout for two men accused of using a kitten to try to lure children into an SUV.

Investigators told WTVD-TV the pair has been seen in two Wake Forest neighborhoods, talking to children along Samuel Wait Lane and Lariat Ridge Drive.

The men are allegedly offering rides to children and asking about a missing kitten.

Police said they are in a silver or gray four-door SUV that is damaged on the passenger side and missing the passenger side mirror.

The passenger of the vehicle is described as a white male between the ages of 18 and 24 with blonde or brown hair, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.
