Silver Alert issued for missing Winston-Salem man who may be in Greensboro

Dedrick Tyrone Neal, 41, of Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Winston-Salem man who may be in Greensboro.

Winston-Salem police said 41-year-old Dedrick Tyrone Neal left for his job in Rural Hall on Friday morning and has not returned home since, according to his mother.

An acquaintance of Neal said he was seen in the Greensboro area at about 9 p.m. Friday, according to police.

Neal is described as a 6’ tall black male, weighing around 165 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He has a surgery scar on his chest.

Neal was last seen wearing a Chicago Bears jacket and cap, jeans and tennis shoes.

Neal is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, according to the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.

Officials said he may be traveling to Greensboro in a blue 2011 Nissan Versa with a North Carolina license plate reading BDM-5363.
