Young woman’s birthday wish changes lives of girls in sub-Saharan Africa

NEW YORK -- A 13-year-old girl is using hair accessories to help other girls around the world.

Mary Grace Henry, of Harrison, New York has been designing hair accessories for about five years now. The proceeds go to help pay for the education fees of girls in sub-Saharan Africa.

Henry decided to start making a difference through hair accessories at the age of 12, when she received a sewing machine for her birthday.
