Update: Police found body of missing autistic boy in pond

Update: The body of a young, autistic boy, who went missing on Christmas Eve in South Carolina, was found in a pond, according to authorities.

Coroner Robert Edge confirmed that the body was that of 4-year-old Jayden Morrison.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Nearly 100 people are searching for a boy with special needs.

Jayden Morrison, 4, is autistic and does not speak. He is about  four feet tall and weighs about 40 pounds.

The Horry County Police Department said he is wearing red footed pajamas and carrying a pacifier with a pink ribbon.

Jayden wandered off around 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve according to police.

Police are asking for everyone in the Myrtle Beach area to look out for him. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police Department at 843-248-1520.
