High Point police: Mom charged with stabbing son on Christmas

HIGH POINT — A woman was charged with stabbing her son on Christmas.

Evangeline Emmerson, 45, of 809 E. Green Drive, was charged with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.

High Point police were called to High Point Regional Hospital at 601 N. Elm St. about a stabbing victim at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the police report.

When officers spoke to the 26-year-old man, he said his mother stabbed him, according to the police report. The man said the two got into an argument about a cell phone.
