Update: Suspect in NC gas station robbery arrested

Update 12 p.m. —  Police arrested the suspect responsible for the robbery of the Wilco Hess gas station.

The suspect, Bryant Gerald, 47, turned himself into police.

Gerald is being charged with armed robbery and second degree kidnapping.

Police said he is at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $30,000 bond.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station Thursday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. at the Wilco Hess on Grove Street.

Police said a black male entered the business armed with a handgun demanding money from the clerk. He took an undisclosed amount of money, then fled on foot toward B Street.
