Argument between family members led to shooting death of NC man

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has died after a shooting in south Charlotte.

Police responded to a call for assault with a deadly weapon at 6:10 a.m. in the 6900 block of Carmel Road.

The victim has been identified as Robert Norman Craddock Jr., 49.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the shooting was not a random act of violence. Police said it appears Craddock Jr. and another family member were involved in an argument that led to the shooting.
