FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two dogs are dead after a house fire at a North Carolina home on Christmas.

WTVD-TV reported that it happened just after noon in the 700 block of Banner Elk Drive in Fayetteville. No other injuries were reported, as no people were in the home at the time of the fire.

The Red Cross was called in for assistance.  The preliminary investigation showed the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
