Shots fired into NC home where 14-year-old killed intruder last week

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were investigating after they said someone fired shots into a home where just last week a 14-year-old shot and killed an intruder.

Police responded to the home on Rolling Fields Road around 3:15 a.m. after receiving a call that someone had fired a gun into the house.

Police found that someone had fired a shotgun through a window at the home, causing approximately $400 of damage. Some rounds were found near the Christmas tree.

Nobody was hurt in the overnight shooting.
