Italian circus caught trying to pass off puppies as pandas

BRESCIA, Italy — The owner of an Italian circus was charged after he tried to pass two Chow Chow puppies as pandas.

The puppies were displayed as pandas for children to take photos with for a fee, according to the Italy State Forestry Corps.

Investigators found documents that show the dogs were imported from Hungary.

The owner was sued for used of false documents but he couldĀ face charges of mistreatment and fraud.
