Greensboro police called to hospital for gunshot victim

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police received reports of a shooting victim arriving at Moses Cone Hospital at about 4:30 a.m.

The 24-year-old victim, had a gunshot wound to the chest, police said, and was taken to the hospital in a privately-owned vehicle. The injury is considered life-threatening.

The assault happened in east Greensboro.

The investigation is ongoing.
