LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Lincolnton Police Department investigators arrested Danny Lee Hensley, 40, of 7873 Matthew Miller Road in Vale and charged him with child sex offenses, officials said Friday in a news release.

The police department received a report on Sunday of a child being molested, WSOC reported.

That was when police collected enough evidence to charge Hensley with second-degree rape, kidnapping, sex offense in a parental role and first-degree sex offense of a child.

Hensley was a boyfriend of the child’s mom and lived with them from Sept. 1 to Dec. 14, officials said. Hensley is under a $500,000 bond and was placed in the Lincoln County Jail.
