3 charged in deadly NC convenience store shooting, robbery

Two men entered Roscoe’s Convenience Store in the 400 block of North Main Street on Dec. 11 and began firing shots after demanding cash.

A customer, 72-year-old James Johnson, was killed. The store’s owner, Rodney Maynard, was shot in the shoulder.

Friday, 32-year-old Ladarrian Kearse, and 27-year-old Charkesha Soloman were arrested in connection with the incident.
