East Washington Street will benefit from more than $400,000 to replace sidewalks and repave the street from Centennial Street to Gaylord Court.

That stretch of East Washington Street will also receive new tree plantings to help improve the looks of the historic business district.

The neighborhood will also benefit from a larger project.

Council voted to spend more than $2 million to replace water and sewer lines around the city including the East Washington Street area.
