NC man charged in shooting death of neighbor’s dog

YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. — A Yancey County man has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of a neighbor’s dog, WLOS reported.

Jonathan Killian, 30, of Burnsville is accused of misdemeanor cruelty to animals.

The family says they found their pet “Bandit” dead in the woods, near where Killian had been hunting in a deer stand.

Bandit was a 2-year-old Border Collie-Australian Shepherd mix.
