Rowan County couple creates police diversion to shoplift at Walmart

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police said a Salisbury couple made 911 calls reporting a shootout to create a diversion Tuesday while they shoplifted from a Walmart store.

Erin Shrader called 911 to report a shootout near north Long Street and Bringle Ferry Road, police said.

Police arrested Erin and Mark Shrader Tuesday in the Walmart on Innes Street loading up a cart full of items to steal.
