JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A crash in Johnston County late Tuesday night forced authorities to take extra precautions after a pick-up truck slammed into a tanker truck, according to WTVD-TV.

Officials said the driver of the pick-up truck ran into the back of the tanker truck hauling diesel fuel on NC-39 in Selma.

No one was hurt, but police blocked the road for over an hour because of the danger of explosion.

Authorities said they believed alcohol may have played a role in the crash. It is unclear if any charges have been filed.
