DETROIT — A 50-year-old man has been jailed for stealing an ambulance and telling authorities he was headed to “see some pole dancing.”

Bryan Kryscio was arrested Sunday night at about 11 p.m.

According to FOXDetroit, police were called to a local hospital by an emergency worker who said they were returning a stretcher to the ambulance when they saw it driving down the road.

Police were able to track a cell phone left in the ambulance and eventually pulled the vehicle over and found Kryscio driving.

He told police he was on his way to the “Booby Trap,” a topless bar in Detroit.

Kryscio has a criminal history in Florida for robbery and in Michigan for breaking and entering, possession of marijuana, and trespassing.

He was charged Tuesday with unlawfully driving away of an automobile.
